Starting Position

Stand tall, core braced, take a controlled step into the stance.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Step forward into a long stride, lowering the back knee toward the floor.

2. Push through the front heel to bring the back leg forward into the next lunge.

3. Keep the torso tall throughout.

Breathing

Inhale on the way down, exhale as you drive back up.

Common Mistakes

Letting the front knee collapse inward or shooting past the toes with no control.

Safety Tips

Use a shorter range of motion if balance is a problem; hold onto support if needed.

Variations

Beginner: Use bodyweight only, shorter steps.
