Starting Position
Set the body into the hold position with a straight, braced line.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Stand tall, balls of your feet on the floor or a small step.
2. Rise up onto your toes as high as possible.
3. Lower under control to a full stretch.
Breathing
Breathe steadily throughout the hold; do not hold your breath.
Common Mistakes
Letting the hips sag or pike, and holding the breath.
Safety Tips
Break the hold early rather than letting form collapse.
Variations
Beginner: Bodyweight only.
Intermediate: Hold dumbbells for added load.
Advanced: Single-leg calf raise.
